For this blog, I have been assigned to comment on my peers' most recent blog! I chose my classmate in 8th period, Yulian, and my friend from another period, Isabella.

Yulian utilized creative shots to enunciate the actors, but I believe there could've been more done setting-wise. As I understand we filmed this in school, there isn't much space for creativity. Either way, the shots were done as intended.  Nicely done! 

 

    Isabella had an ADORABLE blog design that I even changed mine to be more like it. The clips were beautifully set and the moods conveyed where nicely done as well. I would've given more plot to the clips, but it was gorgeous as is!

~Establishing Shot~

For this shot, I decided to pan into the setting. The experience of filming this shot was average, as it wasn’t much but it did its job. I filmed this video on a different day than the others, make the weather seem inconsistent. Florida is so unpredictable…

~Full Body Shot~

Here, I wanted to incorporate our school’s beautiful garden. I had my friend, Kashaenah, pose under the greenery to produce a ‘blissfully oblivious’ vibe. The greenery really compliments the setting and I’m glad we could film there.

~Overhead Shot~

I asked my group to talk about nonsense as I got on a plank of wood sustained by bricks. The elevation developed a clear view of each of them and it was fun to film. Though I was a bit sacred of falling off the plank, it did make a nice angle.

~Knee Shot~

As per usual, you can see me repping my iconic, undying love for Dr. Pepper on my shirt (Please sponsor me Dr. Pepper). I wanted to use more of the garden, but as we were running out of time we opted for the arch again. I felt so silly modeling for this video, but my silliness must be overcame. 

~Over-The-Shoulder Shot~

This scene was hilarious to be apart of! My friend and I thought it’d be funny to act out a fight scene so, obviously, I had to fake the punch. (No girls were hurt in the making of this video!) I’m glad we filmed this shot since it had more pizzazz, which I love.

  Hiya I’m Jadelyn! I am a proud dog mom of my 4 year old Boston Terrier, Buddy. I also have a passion in singing, which led me to joining my school’s chamber choir. I am a debate veteran which of 4 years, making it quite far by putting in effort and winning a few trophies. Debate gave me my passion and free will to pursue speech and act via humorous interpretation. This will also lead me to becoming a future thespian! This passion spurs from my forever artsy childhood, when I would spend HOURS drawing and coloring in books from the Dollar Tree. While doing that I would also enjoy watching movies, those of which my older brother mostly introduced me to. 

  With that love for cinema, it convinced me to join AICE Media Studies! I have always been fascinated by the camera and acting in front of it, but also those with the talent to make it big. The art of film never fails to touch my heart, my favorites being those cheesy 2000’s romcoms everyone’s mom would watch… However! I love a good, dramatic movie to really think about. The shots of such movies combined with my love for color setting the mood from art brought me even more closer to this course. Here’s to a year of creating and learning!!
